Pan - Smells Like Teen Spirit Extended

This makes me think of either an arena battle or some type of thing leading up to a villain fight

1. That´s a cover, worth the word "cover".
2. It´s brilliant!

So the reason why this is in the movie is kind of neat.
All the cast were practicing their script when this song came on the radio, so they all sang along to it off script. It was just so surreal and cool that the producers/director decided to incorporate it into the film.
And they created this magical cinematic moment on the fly.

The flying Dutchman from seas is rising
And van der Decken is singing.

Pirates singing Nirvana might not make sense but I love this.

1:05 the harmonizing "oooh" are beautifully vocalized. Then followed by that riff at 1:11 absolutely awesome. This is a pretty good cover, and an interesting one at that turning it into a sea shanty and chant.

This is by far the best version of this song I have ever had the fortune to listen to.

One of my favorite things about this particular scene in the movie, is that all the voices act as harmonies and base for each other no one singing one particular part, they're all singing the same lyrics but their voices match perfectly. Causing it to be an acapella beat that works as a chant for an absolute nightmare

I'll never understand why people were so confused that this song was in the movie. Sure it may have been 'weird', but it's not like the words of the song are THAT unfitting for the vibe of the scene. And so consider this: the movie takes place in the 1940s, way before Nirvana formed in 1987. Blackbeard and his followers sing it as an ominous entrance chant with a bunch of children present. If people can go to and from the magical realm of Neverland, it's perfectly plausible that one of the kidnapped children that had heard this catchy chant, left/escaped back to our world at some point and became what we know as Nirvana and he at some point turned what he could remember of the chant into a song. That's the power of creative liberties in story telling. People need to open their minds more and let their imagination fill in 'plot' gaps. Where's the fun in story telling when EVERYTHING is told to you? 🤔

This scene gave me chills. Really shows how Blackbeard established dominance, and it terrified the kids.

What if the band Nirvana didn't come up with the song, but were taught to sing it as children?

...that's it? People disliked this because they were "confused" it was in this movie? I didn't even know of the movie until I heard this song, and I think it's absolutely brilliant. I pretty much HAD to see the scene after hearing this song.

People disliking the song's usage in this movie are technically right, Kurt Cobain would propably never intend for his music to be used in this way, but like... It's a song. Released. Out there for everybody. You can do whatever you want to whatever media piece you have an idea for. It doesn't take anything from the original version. And in context of the film on its own it suits

This is like a song for like a WW2 epic battle with all allies and Axis forces attacking in the same area and the song gets more epic and intense as the battle continues while the beat of the drums are like weapons being fired.

Well during the development of Teen Spirit, they were discussing Revolution and Teen Revolution. Makes perfect sense to as why this was in the film. All be it the only part of the film everyone remembers
