Great vid Scottie, the gorilla tape hack is something I’m going to have to implement. It’s in such an inconspicuous spot and readily accessible for emergency use

I've made my own paracord boot laces for a decade. 1. The "press & twist" method produces the most durable aglet for me. It is a lot easier to do if you have a temperature-controlled heat gun. 2. To hold a better knot, I coat the paracord. I use 3 parts beeswax, 1 part pine rosin, and mineral spirits to make a thin soup. Brush it on with an old toothbrush so the entire surface is damp. Let dry a few days.
I appreciate you stopping by and sharing your experience and expertise, thank you! 🤠 I dig your method of coating the laces in that special mix - I’ll have to try it.
I appreciate your feedback brother 🤠🙏🏼🍻 I have heard this critique from others before as well, so I touch on it towards the end of the episode. The nylon jacket is a bit slippery for a traditional bow tie knot - to compensate, I double knot the laces 🤠
Gotcha! I have a buddy who ties a Reef Knot 🪢 which he says helps his lace knot stay intact. Might be worth a try if you like the overall concept of having the 550 🤠
Thank you for sharing this, I’ve never seen this before 👍🏼
I’ve been using paracord laces for years. No complaints - this is a great idea. I like your incorporating of the gorilla tape on the lace tips 👍🏼
Useful hack! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for sharing bro. I like the electric heat shrink tube idea for the boot lace ends.
shared , thanks for the tips
Thank you sir! I appreciate your continued support 🙏🏼🙏🏼🤠
Homemade boot laces by The Professor, you could market these mate 🍻 Good on ya
😂😂😂 I’ll keep that in mind!!!
Great video, thank you so much.
Thank you sir! 🤠🙏🏼🍻 I appreciate your continued viewership and support brother.
Cool
Thanks for checking it out brother! 🤠🙏🏼🍻
Yes sir it's a good tip, because 550-cord is so useful AND is stronger than most boot laces, I've been using 550-cord for laces for decades!
Outstanding feedback brother, i appreciate your feedback and personal experience share, thank you! 🙏🏼🍻🤠

Paracord makes poor shoelaces as it doesn't hold a knot.

@@TheLastBoyScouts that's what I do too but I usually forget until I'm a mile or so into my hike and they come loose.
